Releases

The App Store has the short update note. Here are the release details, newest first.

1.1 – in preparation

This update is being prepared for the App Store.

New

  • Photograph the pump display to pre-fill the total, litres and price the phone can read. Check them against the photo before saving. You can type the figures from the start, too; the photo saves nothing by itself.
  • When a pump reading does not add up, the check screen warns you. A figure it cannot read or check stays open for you to enter.
  • A service invoice from Photos opens as a service entry, whether it is a photo, screenshot or PDF page. Review its itemised lines and add more pages if needed.
  • An entry keeps every page you give it: the back of a receipt, a second invoice page, the parts bill. Each page opens full size, and you can add one more to a fill-up, a service or an expense at any time.
  • Due reminders now appear in the Log with a date or distance and a link to the full list.
  • The Log shows distance, consumption, cost per kilometre and a comparison with the previous month when there are enough records.
  • Trends compares fuel prices by station brand once you have enough entries from two brands.
  • In Settings, choose Match the system, Dark or Light.

Better

  • Check scanned fill-up figures beside the photo before opening the entry. You can zoom, turn the photo and correct the figures there.
  • An invoice photographed in Fill-up mode can go into Service or Expense instead of an empty fuel entry.
  • Share a CSV from another app straight into the import wizard.
  • Finish a service or expense reminder by scanning its invoice or receipt; the reminder’s details carry into the entry.
  • Recent photos are ready after a restore or sync. Low power and low data settings are respected.

Fixed

  • A service photo chosen in Photos opens a service entry rather than a fill-up.
  • Invoice reading is less likely to mistake VAT or a line amount for the payable total, and handles table rows and the issuer more carefully.
  • An uncertain pump reading no longer takes a number from other receipt text without telling you. A refused or incomplete read asks for a check.
  • Consumption uses the car’s chosen unit – MPG, km/L or L/100 km – on Home, in Trends and in entry feedback.
  • Restore no longer stalls if an entry arrives before its car on a new phone. After an interruption, it shows what arrived and offers Retry.
  • A sync rejected by the server is shown instead of being retried indefinitely without explanation.

1.0 – 22 September 2026

The first release.

  • Your records live on your phone. You can use the app offline without an account; an optional account adds sync and restore across your devices.
  • Photograph a fuel receipt or type an entry. Both are ordinary ways to add one. A scan pre-fills what it can read for you to check.
  • Each entry shows the check: litres × price = total.
  • Keep petrol, diesel, hybrid and EV records together. A fill-up abroad stores what you paid and the amount in your car’s currency at that day’s rate.
  • Service, parts and reminders sit alongside the fuel log.
  • Export is free and complete, including the receipt photos.
  • Import from Drivvo or My Fuel Manager after reviewing what was read. The app writes nothing until you confirm.
  • Recently deleted entries can be restored within 30 days.
